Basemate

Basemate - a better build, built faster
Basemate is a simple and accurate construction method developed for the DIY conservatory market.
A factory made-to-measure system designed to avoid construction error and reduce build time, located into a simple footing and constructed above the ground to form an accurate footprint fast.
It is a repeat of the conservatory base plan that we supply and manufactured to exactly the same size and shape as the conservatory we will manufacture.
Basemate was developed to construct a foundation footprint above the ground.
Assemble, adjust and add steel reinforcement, fill with concrete, add the floor and main frames.
The Advanatges
- The footprint is constructed above the ground
- Size and shape ready to accept the conservatory
- A minimum of soil needed to be removed
- Only one concrete infill required for the footing and the slab
- The base will drain quickly and allow for a dry floor to be laid
Construction Guide
Step 1
Level the area and dig a shallow footing,
at 200mm x 500mm and 75mm clear of the base plan.

Step 2
Lay steel reinforcement mesh over the site. Locate and adjust Basemate into position. Tie the reinforcement and screw fix the corner cleats.

Step 3
Fill the template with concrete and tamp level. The footprint is left size ready to accept the conservatory.

Step 4
Lay a damp proof membrane over the foundation Add the cill and main frame sections or brickwork. The insulation and dry flooring can now be laid.
