Pilkington K Glass – Low E Insulating Glass
This is a trusted glass product that meets all energy efficient building regulations. Its coating reflects heat back into the room, while letting in a certain amount of heat from the sun.
It can be used in your existing frames and is ideally suited to glass conservatory roofs where cleaning is more difficult.
Pilkington energiKare – High Insulating Glass
A step up from K Glass, energiKare is the double glazing option that reduces the energy normally lost through windows by as much as 90%. That’s enough energy to make 34,000 cups of coffee, or power 9 televisions for an entire year.
Pilkington Activ Clear
As mentioned, this is self-cleaning glass – the first of its kind in the world. The unique dual-action of the Pilkington Activ coating uses the forces of nature keep the glass free from dirt, which means you don’t have to clean it as often and your windows look clearer for much longer.
This is a smart option for conservatories which are more difficult to clean – like those with high ceilings.
Pilkington Activ Blue/Neutral
This conservatory glass is perfect for maintaining the perfect temperature. It keeps you nice and warm in the winter, while making sure it doesn’t get too hot in the summer. Also cleans itself by using rainwater and daylight to break down dirt.
You can get it in an attractive blue shade or stick with the clear option. Either way, this self-cleaning conservatory glass gives you a crisper view of your garden all year-round.
“Buying a polycarbonate roof was considered but we instead opted for the more expensive option of getting the Pilkington ActivBlue glass roof and as star and moon gazers we were absolutely delighted with the outcome.”
