When Mr & Mrs Hennessy decided it was time to modernise their home, the existing conservatory was one of the first areas they wanted to update. While the original space had served them well, they were keen to create something more in keeping with the house and better suited to how they use the space today.
After researching online, ConservatoryLand stood out thanks to its strong reviews and range of completed projects. With a clear vision already in mind, they sketched out their ideas and worked closely with the team to refine the design.
From the start, the focus was on creating a conservatory that felt thoughtfully designed and well integrated with the existing property, rather than simply adding extra space.
An Edwardian-style roof was chosen to create a more open and usable layout, particularly for seating. Careful consideration was also given to how the new conservatory would connect with the existing brickwork, helping it sit naturally alongside the rest of the home.
By reviewing a range of design templates and examples, the final layout came together with guidance from the ConservatoryLand team, who adapted the design to suit both the property and the brief.

One of the key decisions was choosing the ConservaBase foundation system. This appealed to Mr & Mrs Hennessy as it avoided the need for traditional footings, helping to reduce labour time and overall costs without compromising on strength or reliability.

The installation process was handled efficiently, with clear communication throughout. The team delivered the project on time, making it straightforward from start to finish.

A considered replacement, designed around the home
Rather than simply adding space, this project focused on improving how the rear of the house functions as a whole. Replacing the original conservatory allowed Mr & Mrs Hennessy to rethink the layout and create a room that feels lighter, more openand easier to use.
The Edwardian roof design plays a key role, giving the interior a more balanced feel and allowing furniture to be arranged comfortably without the space feeling crowded. Subtle design choices, including how the conservatory meets the existing brickwork, help it blend seamlessly with the original building.

The neutral self-cleaning, solar control glass roof allows plenty of natural light while helping to maintain a comfortable environment. This creates a space that feels connected to the garden and enjoyable all year round, whether the doors are open on a warm day or closed while listening to the rain outside.

Finishing touches, including white PVCu frames and matching handles, help keep the overall look clean and consistent with the rest of the home.

The new conservatory has become a natural place to sit, relax and spend time, offering a sense of being outdoors while remaining sheltered and comfortable.
