Our October customer of the month purchased one of our more popular designs, the hipped back Edwardian conservatory. This style is very much adaptable to most homes, with the classic design providing you with maximum additional living space.

When looking to extend your home, purchasing a DIY conservatory is definitely something to consider. With many customisable options, you can really make it your own; ensuring that the conservatory you purchase suits your requirements.

Mr Batey was definitely pleased with his ConservatoryLand purchase.

As you can see from the pictures, the glass panels allow the natural light to flood in, creating the perfect space to relax in.

The Project Technical Specifications

As all projects are bespoke, each customer has their own conservatory design ideas. We therefore work with each customer to make sure the specifications are suited to their needs.

And when it came to generating the Edwardian conservatory plans for Mr Batey, we were initially presented with a photo to work from.

The conservatory had to fit perfectly to their bungalow. And as you can see from the ‘Before’ image, the proposed design really needed to make the most of the space available.

After attending our Mansfield show room our customer confirmed what conservatory they wanted.  It was a requirement that their Edwardian conservatory roof design be glass, and the build time of the conservatory should be less than 1 week.

One challenge we had to overcome when planning the extension was surrounding the conservatory height.

As the build was for a bungalow, it was crucial that the minimum heights were taken into account to ensure the conservatory was manufactured exactly to the specified requirements.

Working to the exact measurements we were able to ensure the conservatory was the perfect fit for our customer.

The construction of the conservatory had to be done within a short time frame, therefore an installer was used to fulfil the build.

From the pictures it is pretty clear they did a brilliant job; with the conservatory being installed in just three days.

The Installation Process

As stated, the Batey family hired a local conservatory builder to do the job for them. This allowed the work to be done in a quicker time frame, as they did not have to work the build around their own schedules.

The installation process was therefore a success, with the images showing the finished build in all its glory.

Here at ConservatoryLand we do have a list of approved conservatory installers, so if you too are considering purchasing a DIY conservatory, but want to outsource the build, then this is definitely worth considering.

Taking a look at their Edwardian conservatory from start to finish, it’s clear to see that this extension is a great addition to their home.

And when the conservatory is built, it’s then that the fun really starts.

Time to put your own stamp on your extension.

As you can see, this month’s customers have chosen to furnish their conservatory with the traditional wicker style, creating that light airy feel, optimising the space available.

If you too are looking for conservatory interior design ideas, our interior guide should provide you with all you need to inspire you to get decorating.
