Our September customer of the month purchased a hipped back orangery and they were very happy with the product supplied.

The DIY orangery is a relatively new addition to the ConservatoryLand offering, however has proved a popular choice for many of our customers.

Mr and Mrs Errington now have a fully built hipped back orangery, which as you can see from the images, has created a great addition to their home.

The sliding glass doors create an open plan feel from the extension into the garden, so we’re sure it’s proved to be the perfect space for entertaining during the summer months.

As orangeries are part brick they offer more of a secluded extension, meaning the room itself feels separate from the home; allowing you to have a real isolated space to make your own.

ConservatoryLand work with you to ensure you get an orangery which suits your needs and specifications.

Therefore, if you are considering this type of extension, why not request a brochure free of charge today.

The Project Technical Specifications

Orangery conservatory designs very much vary from customer to customer, so it is up to our team to ensure the technical specifications are correct from the get go.

So when it came to establishing the orangery design plans, our customers had specific requirements, stating an orangery size of 6m x4m.

They had already previously sourced a supplier for their conservatory build and reached out to ConservatoryLand after their current supplier became insolvent.

The build therefore had to start from the groundwork which had already commenced.

This was therefore one of the core challenges we faced as a team when planning the extension; as the base was already partially built.

Due to their previous inconvenience, we were keen to instil confidence in our customers, showing we were committed to the job; which is exactly what we did.

We ensured the orangery designs were made to measure based on the existing foundations. This therefore allowed the cost of the build to be kept to a minimum.

When it came to the installation, Mr and Mrs Errington worked with one of our approved installers to assist with the build; whom helped bring the orangery design ideas to life.

The outcome of the build was a high quality Hipped Back Orangey, finished to our expected standard.

The Installation Process

As mentioned, the customers hired a local conservatory builder to assist with the construction of their hipped back orangery.

The builder was one of our approved installers, so we were confident that the installation would be a success.

The orangery extension pictures they shared with us, really show the installation process from start to finish, with the orangery now being a real talking point in their home.

Large in size, the hipped back style has allowed this extension to very much become a separate room in their house, which they can now enjoy for years to come.

The glass roof really helps maximise the light in the room, creating a vibrant space to live in.

As you can also see from the pictures, the interior is very much a blank canvas, so the decorating will be the final step to full completion.

A chance for them to put their own stamp on the extension, making it their own.

And if you are also looking to decorate your conservatory and are in need of inspiration, it’s always worth having a read of our conservatory interior guide.

Filled with design ideas and space saving hacks, its sure to help you decide on the decorating.

Customer Testimonial

Alongside pictures of the build from start to finish, Mr and Mrs Errington took the time to share their experience with us.

David and Lorraine provided honest feedback which you can read below. It’s just great to hear how happy they were with the service.

“We selected Conservatoryland to supply our Orangery model Conservatory after viewing the web site and requesting an on-line quotation. The reply was prompt, detailed, and offering a good finance option.

We were in the position of recovering funds from a local supplier that had become insolvent during the construction process, having been paid the majority of the contract price. The supply only option gave us the chance to progress from the builder’s yard presently in our garden to an early completion.

Being within an hour’s travel of the main showroom we choose to visit without making an appointment. We arrived just as the showroom was closing, we were welcomed and the salesman / designer (Sam) explained the finer detail of the quotation he had supplied on-line. We were able to view the product at leisure and were impressed with the quality and build on show.

We took advantage of the £99 deposit option with 12 months 0% credit and the opportunity of a site visit by a Conservatoryland approved Installer. Following agreement on assembly and finishing costs we confirmed the detailed plan to progress to production and a delivery date was agreed. We later added a climate controlled roof vent and corner pallisters as enhancements.

The delivery and construction was completed to the planned dates with tiling, plaster-work, electrics, paving, drainage, etc.

The service and product quality supplied by Conservatoryland have exceeded our expectations, complemented by the competent and conscientious workmanship of the approved installer Darren Woolley – DW Installations.

Many thanks Guys. You have turned a nightmare into a completed project we are proud of. Not to mention the savings against the original cost quoted by the failed competition

Sincerely, David & Larraine Errington.”
