Our July customer of the month, Mr Love, writes to us from Maidstone, Kent, about his brand new Victorian conservatory. Mr Love was looking for a provider who could help bring his conservatory vision to life — at an affordable price!

Like many of our customers, Mr Love wanted a high-quality installation at the back of his detached home to give him and his family more space. Our expert team gave Mr Love confidence that we were the perfect partner to help design his bespoke conservatory.
Not knowing what style of conservatory would best suit his home, Mr Love needed the help of a knowledgeable provider to help him realise his conservatory dreams. Following discussions around the options available, including gable front and lean-to conservatories, Mr Love selected a Victorian style conservatory featuring a dwarf brick wall. This is a popular conservatory choice, with an elegant bayfront and a steeply pitched roof. Using Mr Love’s preferences and specific requirements, our designers created a mockup of the conservatory.

Building Mr Love’s Victorian Conservatory
Choosing to use our network of approved installers to help build his new conservatory, Mr Love was pleased to hand over the task to local installers who would complete the job quickly and efficiently.
Mr Love opted for our unique ConservaBase system, which is custom-made to allow for a seamless build. Firstly, the approved installers fitted the base pads before installing the steel base and insulation sheets. Mr Love was delighted to see the ConservaBase speed up the construction of his conservatory. Within a matter of hours, the foundations were in place, and the conservatory walls were ready to be built.
Mr Love was keen to create a new space that suited the style of his home, so he chose a dwarf brick wall in rustic red with light sandstone mortar. He was surprised at how well the brickwork complemented his home — it made his new conservatory look like an entirely natural extension of his property.
Next, Mr Love wanted white PVCu for the window frames to match beautifully with the existing windows in his house. Here at ConservatoryLand, we manufacture all of our window frames from high-quality fully-sculptured PVCu profiles. These are designed for quick and easy self-assembly and built to last.
The approved installers faced a challenge when it came to installing the lead flashing. However, Mr Love was delighted that the team were able to resolve the problem without delay. Using their knowledge and expertise, they were able to complete the lead flashing to the highest of standards.
Mr Love chose to add double doors to the left of his conservatory. He had envisioned a patio alongside his new space, so side access was the ideal option. Double doors will also allow Mr Love to open up the room on warm, bright days to enjoy the sun and fresh air.
Finally, he opted for blue self-cleaning, solar control glass for the roof. This means less upkeep, thanks to the special coating on each panel that breaks down any dirt. And Mr Love’s new modern conservatory will benefit from temperature control, so the room will never become too hot in the summer or lose too much heat during the winter months.
In three short days, the project was complete. Mr Love’s unique and affordable conservatory transformed his garden area. The last step was to add the finishing touches, including the patio and furniture.
