Our November customer of the month purchased another of our popular designs, the DIY lean to conservatory.

This design is very much named after its structure, as it looks as if it’s leaning against your home.

Mr French wanted a quality conservatory which would complement his home and also fit with the layout of his garden. Although a small lean to conservatory, the extension is now the perfect place to relax in, especially in the summer months.

As you will see from the images shared, the modern lean to conservatory created a stylish addition to their home, whilst also adding a great amount of extra space for them to make their own.

When it came to reviewing the technical specifications, our customer provided their lean to extension plans in advance; as it they really wanted a bespoke made to measure extension.

The lean to conservatory designs featured privacy panels to one side of the build, alongside a modern finish of grey on a white window frame.

When it came to planning the extension, there were no real challenges to overcome which really helped set the build up to be a real success. The lean-to was built to measure the exact specifications of their two storey home.

The actual installation of the lean to conservatory was undertook by one of our approved conservatory installers. This was due to the customer being short on time.

It did however mean they had a reliable installer to carry out the work for them, allowing them to start enjoying their conservatory in a short amount of time, without the pressure of the build on themselves.

The CAD designs below, show the build specifications in their entirety.

The Installation Process

As stated, Mr French used an approved conservatory installer to carry out the build.

The conservatory installation was a success, with the build being very straight forward. Just showing how smooth the whole process can be when you purchase a DIY conservatory from ourselves.

As you can see from the customer images, the smooth PVC panel adds extra privacy to the conservatory. This was also installed due to its closeness to the fence at the side of their house.

The lean-to element is seen in the sloping roof. The advantage of this, is not just that the rain water runs off this; it actually makes the conservatory the perfect sun trap to sit and relax in.

And I’m sure the French family will make the most of this.

From the pictures, the finished conservatory is very much a shell, and is therefore now in a position for them to start decorating.

Customer Testimonial

When asked to rate the whole experience with ConservatoryLand, we were pleased to hear they rated this as excellent.

Mr French took the time to provide us with honest feedback, which we have shared for you below:

“Amazing product, great value compared to other conservatories on the market. Would be possible to install yourself but we paid a qualified installer to do it, which took them all of 3 days to build it up from scratch! Even after paying for them, it is still much cheaper than other companies.”

“From the initial design options to the final install, they have been incredibly professional and friendly. They also called to make sure everything is going well, and are very attentive to any possible issues.”
He further shared…

“All in all would definitely recommend using conservatory land. We did extensive research and got quotes from several leading conservatory builders in the UK, and even with the cost of the installer, conservatoryland came out almost half what everyone else was quoting for a similar build, and the end product is great.

“I am particularly happy that we went for the dark grey outside colour, really pops and looks very modern.”

“Thank you for allowing us the small extension to our house we were desperate for on such a tight budget!”

It is great to see that both the quality and price of the product where two core things the family were very happy with; as this is what we pride ourselves in offering to our customers.

If this month’s customer story has made you want to get to work building your own DIY extension, then now is the time to request a conservatory quote from us today; free of charge.
