Frequently asked questions
Most conservatories don’t need planning permission. They usually fall under Permitted Development Rights, which means you can go ahead without a formal application – as long as the conservatory doesn’t cover more than half the land around your home, doesn’t extend beyond the front of the house, and stays within certain height limits.
There are some exceptions, including listed buildings and properties in conservation areas, so it’s always worth checking. Our planning permission guide explains the rules in full, and our building regulations page covers what else you may need to consider.
It depends on the style, size and specification you choose but a fully fitted conservatory can typically cost between £9,000 and £25,000.
The best way to get a realistic figure for your project is to use our free online Quote Builder – you can design your conservatory to your exact specification and see a price straight away. For a broader overview, our conservatory prices page breaks down what affects the cost.
Most customers are surprised by how quickly the process moves. Once your order is placed, ConservatoryLand manufactures your conservatory to your exact specification and delivers it directly to your home.
From order to completion, the timeline depends on the complexity of the project and the availability of your chosen installer – but many customers are enjoying their new space within a matter of weeks. You can see how the process works step by step on our how it works page.
Once you’ve designed your conservatory using the Quote Builder and you’re happy with the price, you can place your order with a deposit from as little as £99.
From there, a dedicated adviser manages your project from start to finish – confirming the technical details, arranging manufacture and co-ordinating delivery. You can choose to have your conservatory fitted by one of our Approved Installers or take the self-build route if you prefer. Finance options are available too, including interest-free plans – see our finance page for details.
